What platform should I sell my products on, WooCommerce or Shopify?
As easy as this answer is for us to know because we have experience on both platforms weekly.
There are people out there who are confused between the two.
This is a question we get asked on a daily (or weekly) basis.
In simple terms, I’d like you to ponder on what you are trying to achieve with your business.
If you ARE a brand, E.g the label on liquids, the beard oil line, the name for the clothing garment that is sold in stores.
Then WooCommerce would be your platform as your brand website will be more than just sales and eCommerce.
However, if you are a retail store, selling items such as vape products from various other brands, or selling clothes from different designers and just converting sales like a normal physical store then the simple answer is Shopify is for you.
Difficulty and competence:
WooCommerce is far more advanced in terms of designs and sections, hence why it is harder to use than Shopify.
Whereas Shopify is a platform that has everything in one place and has a seamless, searchable backend.
In simple terms, newbies or simple users prefer to have a pre-assorted platform where all they need to focus on is website management, marketing, and sales.
What about service-based businesses?
For anything extremely complex, or service-based such as car hires and physiotherapy services which is a completely different kettle of fish, I’d always recommend using WooCommerce simply because of the scalability and detail that the platform holds.
So… with all the information you’ve learned today, you can now decide which platform is best for you? WooCommerce, or Shopify?
